Increasing access to basic education in emergencies as well as enhancing communities’ capacity to provide quality education sustainably is one of the key areas of intervention by HHOSS.

Ongoing conflicts throughout South Sudan are leaving schools destroyed and/or occupied by displaced persons or sometimes combatants while children end up out of learning for prolonged durations thus affecting their development.

HHOSS and her partners work towards returning out-of-school children back to learning in a safe environment while ensuring reasonably good quality of instruction by providing essential learning and teaching materials, establishment of temporary learning spaces and formation and training of school management committees.
